My first blog post has been a long time coming… I found it hard to find a topic I cared passionately enough to write about which is sex work related and something that hasn’t been done before. Finally, I found one: Environmentalism/Causes. As an environmentally minded person I try and limit my impact on the Earth that gives so much to us. As a sex worker I use a lot of, what my accountant calls, “consumables”: condoms, tissues, wipes, lubricant and gloves specifically. Buying these items on mass made we question if there was a way for my buck to go further, to do some good. After much searching and researching, I now buy and use a variety of “consumables” which are ethical and/or environmental and/or sex worker friendly.
These I share with you: escorts, clients and the general public alike. Please remember we share this planet, so be kind to it and each other. I hope my article is educational and you consider switching out some, or all, of your branded “consumables” once you know your dollar can go further, do better, and move from the pockets of multinational to somewhere it’s needed.
